Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 17, 2026

1. Introduction

Snev respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have. The short version: we collect the minimum needed to run your account and deliver signals to the channels you choose, we do not sell your data, and we do not use third-party advertising trackers.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following, depending on how you use the service:

  • Account details — your email address, and your name and profile details if you sign in with Google. Passwords are stored only as secure hashes, never in plain text.
  • Preferences — notification settings, watched coins, and similar in-app configuration.
  • Push subscriptions — if you enable browser push notifications, we store the subscription endpoint your browser issues so we can deliver them.
  • Telegram link — if you connect Telegram, we store the identifier needed to send signal messages to your account. We store nothing about your other Telegram activity.
  • Subscription status — your current plan and billing state, received from our payment provider. Payment details themselves (card numbers, billing address) are handled entirely by Polar and never touch our servers.
  • Technical data — IP address, device and browser information, and server logs, used for security and to keep the service working.
  • Usage analytics (optional) — if you accept analytics cookies, we use PostHog (hosted in the EU) to collect pageviews, clicks, and session replays so we can understand how Snev is used. Nothing is collected until you accept, and you can withdraw at any time via the "Cookies" link in the footer.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use this information to:

  • Operate your account and provide the service
  • Deliver signal notifications on the channels you have opted into
  • Process your subscription and apply the correct plan
  • Send essential service messages (security alerts, billing notices, support replies)
  • Monitor for abuse and keep the service secure
  • Understand aggregate usage so we can improve the product

4. Who We Share It With

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We share it only with the service providers required to operate:

  • Polar — our payment provider and merchant of record, which processes subscription payments
  • Telegram — to deliver signal messages, only if you link your Telegram account
  • Browser push services — your browser vendor's push infrastructure, only if you enable push notifications
  • Hosting and infrastructure providers — which run our servers and database
  • PostHog — our product-analytics provider, hosted in the EU, which processes usage data (pageviews, clicks, session replays) only if you have accepted analytics cookies

Beyond that, we disclose personal information only when required by law, or to protect and defend our rights and property. We may share anonymized, aggregated statistics that cannot identify you.

5. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction, including encryption in transit and hashed credential storage. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, your personal data is permanently erased. We may retain limited records where required to comply with legal obligations (for example, billing records) or to resolve disputes.

7. Cookies

We use two kinds of cookies. Essential cookies keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and store your cookie choice itself — the service does not work without them. Analytics cookies (PostHog, EU-hosted) are optional and are set only after you accept them in the cookie banner; they let us see pageviews, clicks, and session replays so we can improve the product.

We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can withdraw analytics consent at any time via the "Cookies" link in the footer. If you block all cookies in your browser, you will not be able to stay signed in.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location (and under the GDPR if you are in the EU/EEA), you have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of your personal data
  • Rectification — correct inaccurate data
  • Erasure — delete your data; you can do this yourself by deleting your account from the settings page, which permanently erases your personal data
  • Portability — receive your data in a portable format
  • Restriction and objection — limit or object to certain processing

To exercise any of these rights, use the in-app controls or contact us through the website.

9. Children's Privacy

Snev is not intended for individuals under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can remove it.

10. International Data Transfers

Your information may be processed on servers located outside your own jurisdiction, where data protection laws may differ. Where such transfers occur, we take reasonable steps to ensure your data remains protected consistent with this policy.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes will be communicated through the service.

12. Contact

If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or our data practices, please contact us through the website.
